River Heights City has released several community announcements through a notice posted to the city's website. The updates include information regarding a rezone public hearing, truth in taxation, and local council vacancies.
CH Champlain LLC applied to rezone Parcel 02-025-0015 in River Heights from a residential designation. A public hearing for this rezone was scheduled for Sept. 8, 2026.
Additionally, the River Heights City Council held a Truth in Taxation hearing on Aug. 17, 2026. The city also announced that fireworks restrictions will continue within city boundaries, following discussions between the fire chief and emergency officials regarding a governor's executive order.
The city is currently seeking help for temporary or seasonal summer positions. Other notices include a mid-term council vacancy that the City Council will fill and a survey regarding the library situation for local residents.
The Bear River Health Department released its 2026 budget for review. Meanwhile, the Cache County Form of Government Study Committee has scheduled public open house presentations across Cache County.
