An armed man was shot and killed following a confrontation with Salt Lake City Police officers on Friday evening in the Ballpark neighborhood.
Police were dispatched to the area of 1000 South and 300 West at approximately 6:39 p.m., according to Lt. Michael Ruff.
Lt. Michael Ruff spoke to reporters at the scene regarding the officer-involved shooting.
The incident involved a confrontation between officers and an armed individual in Salt Lake City.
