A wind-driven fire in northern Box Elder County grew by more than 300 acres in a matter of hours on Monday afternoon. The blaze was first reported by Utah Fire Info as a new start at approximately 3:30 p.m.
The fast-growing fire has been named the East Promontory Fire. The incident occurred in the Howell area of northern Box Elder County.
