The Heber City Planning Commission is scheduled to hold four public hearings on Sept. 8, 2026, to consider several zoning and map amendments, according to a Aug. 27 notice.
The hearings are scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Heber City, located at 75 North Main Street. The commission will consider a proposed zone map amendment for the property at 90 West 300 N. to change the designation from R-3 Residential to C-2 Commercial.
Additional items on the agenda include proposed amendments to the Central Heber Overlay Zone (CHOZ) intended to simplify and clarify requirements by reformatting paragraphs and removing unnecessary provisions. The commission will also consider a zoning map amendment to include the property at 205 North 600 West, Heber City, within the Central Heber Overlay Zone.
A fourth hearing will address a proposed zone map amendment to expand the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) from the Wasatch Canal to Hwy 40, excluding properties located outside current Heber City boundaries.
The public may participate in the hearing in person or via a GoToMeeting link available at heberut.gov/Agendas. Comments can also be emailed to PCPublic@heberut.gov to be read aloud during the meeting and included in the permanent public record.
