Improvements are being made to Redwood Road (SR-68) as part of a safety project. The work includes an improved right turn lane onto Pony Express Parkway.
According to project details, construction activities involve lengthening and widening the southbound Redwood Road right turn lane. The project also includes applying a thin layer of asphalt, known as micro-surface, from just south of Pony Express Parkway to just south of Pioneer Crossing.
Additional work involves repairing two damaged road sections with new asphalt and installing an additional stormwater pipe.
Work was scheduled to begin the week of Monday, August 24, 2026. Daytime hours for construction were scheduled for Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with possible weekend work. Nighttime hours were scheduled from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Sunday evening through Saturday morning.
The project schedule is subject to change due to weather, materials availability, or other unforeseen issues. Completion is anticipated for early Fall of 2026.
