Stage 2 Fire Restrictions have been announced for the Manti-La Sal National Forest. The restrictions are scheduled to be in effect starting July 10 and will continue through October 31.
The fire restrictions apply to the Ferron, Price, Sanpete, and Moab Ranger Districts.
These districts are located within Emery, Carbon, Sevier, Utah, Sanpete, Grand, and San Juan Counties in Utah, as well as Mesa.
San Juan School District reported 2,773 total student enrollments for the 2024-2025 school year, with a demographic profile showing a 54% Native American population. The district, which operates 12 schools in rural and remote areas of San Juan County, manages an annual budget of over $70 million.
