Senator Mike Lee requested prayers for the loved ones of 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan following his death in service to the country.
Feehan was identified as a graduate student at Southern Utah University and a former member of the Utah National Guard.
In a statement, Lee expressed wishes for God to bless the men and women of the Armed Forces who put their lives on the line daily.
He noted that the service and sacrifice of these individuals will always be remembered.
According to reports, Feehan was a US soldier killed in Jordan.
