Deer Valley Resort announced Friday that two-time Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety will lead a three-day performance ski camp at the Park City resort from February 5 through 7, 2027. The program is designed for advanced to expert skiers looking to refine their carving skills alongside the former world champion.
Technical Training and Instruction
The Ted Ligety Performance Camp will feature small groups of four to six skiers paired with a Deer Valley ski instructor for the duration of the event. According to the resort, Ligety—a Park City native and five-time Giant Slalom World Champion—will visit each group individually during the camp.
The curriculum includes an indoor session focused on high-level skiing principles, where Ligety will share technical secrets used during his professional career. On-mountain instruction will emphasize fundamental carving techniques.
Technology and Pricing
Participants in the 2026/27 season camp will have access to real-time feedback through CARV 2 units and receive individual video analysis. The resort also plans to provide daily private access to a freshly groomed run each morning, which will conclude with a 'First Tracks' experience on Sunday.
The clinic is priced at $4,990 for the three-day program. The camp is restricted to participants aged 18 and older.
Expanded Athlete Experiences
The performance camp is part of a broader suite of athlete-led experiences available at Deer Valley. The resort also offers a 'Ski With A Champion' program, which provides individuals, families, or groups with half-day or full-day adventures alongside various Olympic athletes.
Other athletes featured in the resort's champion programs include Jillian Vogtli, Chris Waddell, Shannon Bahrke, Kaylin Richardson, and Kris "Fuzz" Feddersen.
Program Availability
While the Ted Ligety camp is specifically for advanced-expert adults, the 'Ski With A Champion' adventures allow participants as young as 7 years old, provided children 12 and under are accompanied by an adult. These broader experiences include access to the Ski School lane at all chairlifts but do not include lift tickets.
