A.J. Gilmore has been named the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Learning for Secondary Education for the Box Elder School District, according to a notice on the district's website. Gilmore succeeds Keith Mecham, who moved into the role of Superintendent.
Gilmore has been with the district for 19 years. His previous experience includes teaching 7th grade math at McKinley Elementary and ACYI. His administrative roles included serving as assistant principal at BEMS, and as principal at BEMS, BRHS, and BEHS. Additionally, he served on the UHSAA Executive Committee and as Region 11 Chairman.
In his new role, Gilmore aims to support students, staff, and communities in efforts to ensure all students learn at grade level or higher.
