The Utah Mammoth announced October 20, 2026, that defenseman Artem Duda has been recalled from the Tucson Roadrunners, the Utah Mammoth's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate. This move marks the first NHL call-up of Duda's career and represents the first time a Roadrunner has been recalled to the NHL during the 2026-27 regular season.
Duda, a 22-year-old defenseman, has recorded three points—consisting of one goal and two assists—along with a plus-six rating and two penalty minutes in six AHL games with Tucson this season. His plus-six rating currently leads the team and is tied for second in the AHL. He is also tied for the team lead in points among defensemen.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Moscow, Russia, native has tallied 45 points, including nine goals and 36 assists, and a plus-28 rating over 103 career AHL games with Tucson during three seasons. In the 2025 First Round series at Abbotsford, Duda was the only Roadrunner to register a point in multiple games, recording two points in three Calder Cup Playoff games.
Duda was originally selected in the second round (36th overall) by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2022 NHL Draft. Prior to his time with the Roadrunners, he recorded seven points in 12 U Sports games with Toronto Metropolitan University during the 2023-24 season and three assists in 14 Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) games with CSKA Moscow in 2022-23.
The Tucson Roadrunners are scheduled to travel to Henderson for a two-game series against the Silver Knights at Lee's Family Forum this weekend. The series opens Friday at 7 p.m. MST, followed by a game on Saturday at 6 p.m. MST.
