The Weber County Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing for August 11, 2026, to discuss a proposed amendment to the Western Weber General Plan. The meeting is set to begin at 5:00 PM in the County Commission Chambers, located on the 1st Floor of the Weber Center at 2380 Washington Blvd. in Ogden, Utah.
The hearing concerns a proposal to redesignate the area situated between 4700 West and the Weber River, south of the Union Pacific Railroad. Currently designated as natural open space, the proposed amendment would change the area to a mixture of land use designations. These include medium-to-large residential lots, mixed residential lots, mixed use commercial, park open space, agricultural, and natural open space.
According to the notice, the adjustments are intended to better plan for future community needs and to account for recent changes within the community.
Proposals may be reviewed online at https://frontier.co.weber.ut.us/p/Project/Index/26629 or in person at the Weber County Planning Division Office in Suite #240 of the Weber Center.
