Park City Chamber awards $150,000 for local sustainability projects
The Park City Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau has awarded $150,000 to 17 local sustainability projects. The grants are part of the chamber's long-term tourism stewardship plan. Sustainable Tourism Director Morgan Mingle said the grants allow local organizations to carry out projects the chamber could not do on its own.

Utah judges impose vastly different sentences for similar crimes, audit finds
In northern Utah, defendants are three times as likely to be locked up than those in southeastern Utah. From 2017 to 2025, a defendant sentenced in the 7th District — covering Carbon, Emery, Grand and San Juan Counties — was sent to prison or jail 24% of the time for a third-degree felony, auditors found.

Utah among 40 states to settle with auto loan company accused of predatory lending
Dozens of Utahns are set to have their debt cancelled and get a check in the mail after a national auto loan company agreed to settle claims that it exploited borrowers with low credit scores. Utah and 39 other states reached the roughly $700 million settlement earlier this month with the Michigan-based Credit Acceptance Corporation.

Meet Park City freeskier Zoe Atkin - Park Record
A family’s passion Zoe’s dad, Mike, is British, while her mom, Winnie, is Chinese and Malaysian. She was born in Newton, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. Mike and Winnie picked up skiing when they moved to the United States, and the family would all ski together in Maine when Zoe and Izzy were kids.

Malena Stevens spent 15 years serving the Summit County community through her work with the Park City Police Department, Snyderville Basin Planning Commission and Summit County Council. Now, she hopes voters see the value of her track record and government experience as she campaigns to become Summit County’s next clerk, a position she’s held for the past six months.
