Specifically, the report says the naked mole rats were euthanized between Sept. 26, 2025, and Oct. During the procedure, the animal's anesthesia levels became too light, so anesthetic gas levels were increased. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals responded to the report in a post on its website on Aug.

Search continues for suspect accused of brandishing gun at Creekside Park

Upon arrival, officers spotted the suspect, who then allegedly took off running. UPD officials said the park is "heavily wooded" and the suspect was lost in the foliage. While containment is no longer in place, officers are still working to identify the suspect.
