Because his brother, Hank, played for Boise State and he liked the Broncos's blue turf, BYU QB Bear Bachmeier grew up a Broncos fan

BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier was raised in the Catholic faith, and his grandfather was a diehard Notre Dame fan who would have loved to have seen his grandsons play for the Irish. However, Bear grew up cheering not for his grandpa's favorite team, or for BYU, a school he knew very little about.
