MIDVALE, Utah (ABC4) — A man was arrested after lighting fireworks on Independence Day despite the Salt Lake County firework ban, claiming it is against his civil rights. Peter Cooley Ellison, 61, was arrested on one count of violation of fire restriction order and failing to disclose his identity, both class B misdemeanors.
