The Midvale City Planning Commission was scheduled to meet on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, to address several agenda items, according to an August 6 notice and agenda. The meeting was set to occur in person at Midvale City Hall and via electronic communication.
The agenda included a public hearing regarding a Midvale City initiated zoning code text amendment to update Utah State Code references in Title 17. This item was noted as potentially being forwarded to the City Council for a hearing on or after September 1, 2026.
Additionally, the commission was scheduled to discuss a concept plan for Vista 270 at Jordan Bluffs, located at 8250 S. Bingham Junction Blvd (Pods I, J, K, L) in the Jordan Bluffs Subareas 1-3 Zone. This discussion was assigned to Planning Director Wendelin Knobloch.
Several requests from the Gardner Group were also scheduled for public hearing. These requests included amendments to the Midvale Municipal Code regarding rights-of-way adjacent to POD I, a decrease in building separation requirements for four-story buildings from 20 to 10 feet, and the addition of Private Lane Standards.
The commission also included updates regarding the Planning Department, including the Planning Commission Fall Dinner, the Fall APA Conference on September 9 and 10, and the 2026 Utah Bike Summit on August 18.
