Lake Powell has climbed 19 feet since hitting it's lowest levels in mid-September and that water has kept coming. Recent rainfall across the Four Corners region generated tremendous runoff into the Colorado River System. The San Juan River was a major contributor, accounting for an unusually large share of water flowing into Lake Powell.
