The Salt Lake City School District has appointed Dr. Analis Carattini-Ruiz as its new Associate Superintendent. The district announced the hiring, noting that Dr. Carattini-Ruiz will officially begin her position on July 1, 2025.
Dr. Carattini-Ruiz brings 22 years of experience in K-12 education to the district. Originally from Puerto Rico, her professional background includes serving as a Special Education Teacher and an Elementary Education Teacher.
Her previous leadership roles include positions as Associate Director, Director of Federal & State Programs, and Executive Director of Educational Opportunity and Student Support. Dr. Carattini-Ruiz earned her Ph.D. in 2020 from the University of Utah’s Department of Education, Culture, and Society.
