The Taylors, Utah Planning Commission maintains a structure designed for geographic representation within the city. Members of the commission are appointed by the City Council and serve four-year terms, with each member required to be a resident of Taylorsville.
Commission Appointment and Terms
To promote geographic representation, one commission member is appointed from each of the five City Council districts. Additionally, two commission members and an alternate member are appointed at large and do not represent a specific district.
Leadership and Meeting Procedures
Commission members elect a Chair on an annual basis. An alternate member is permitted to participate in regular meetings if a regular Commissioner is absent.

David Young serves as Chair for District 1. Barbara Munoz serves as Vice Chair for District 4. Other members include Marc McElreath for District 2, David Wright for District 3, and Don Russell and Gordon Willardson for District 5. Cindy R. Wilkey serves as an at-large member for District 2.
