Community engagement and feedback process
The adoption of the budget followed a period of community engagement, including a budget survey series and discussions regarding community priorities. Residents were previously invited to participate in in-person conversations to provide feedback on the proposed Fiscal Year 2026-27 City Budget before the Council's final adoption by June 30.
Temple renovations and upcoming meetings
In other recent city developments, the Council approved a request to temporarily close streets near the Salt Lake Temple from March to October 2027 to accommodate the temple's reopening. Upcoming city meetings scheduled for July include a C.R.A. and City Council meeting on July 14 and a City Council meeting on July 21.
