Eagle Mountain becomes JustServe City

Mayor Jared Gray and the City Council signed a proclamation committing the City to promoting and supporting volunteerism.
Eagle Mountain is officially a JustServe City.
At the City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 15, Councilmember Craig Whiting read a proclamation recognizing Eagle Mountain as a JustServe City. Mayor Jared Gray and the City Council signed it, formally committing the City to promoting and supporting volunteerism throughout the community.
September 15 was also the first of three Eagle Mountain Days of Service, the City's volunteer week running Tuesday, September 15 through Thursday, September 17.
What is a JustServe City?
JustServe is a free platform that connects residents with volunteer opportunities posted by local organizations, schools, nonprofits, and neighbors. A JustServe City is a municipality that has formally committed to promoting and supporting volunteerism, recognized through a signed city proclamation.
The designation does not add a new City program. It connects Eagle Mountain with JustServe representatives who help publicize local service opportunities and recognize the residents behind them.

The proclamation recognizes that volunteers are an essential part of a strong, connected, and thriving community, and that meaningful service helps residents build relationships, develop a sense of belonging, meet community needs, and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
It closes by encouraging residents, organizations, businesses, and community partners to take part in service opportunities throughout the community.

Ways to get involved
Volunteer projects are posted year-round at JustServe.org/EMServes, where you can browse opportunities and sign up for a shift.
Residents also use the EM Serves Facebook group to share service and volunteer projects, ask for help, and coordinate with neighbors. It is a good place to start if you are looking for a way to pitch in or have a project that could use a few extra hands.

Wednesday, September 16
Cedar Valley High School pantry donations, 10 AM-4 PM, 1389 Aviator Avenue. School supplies, clothing, and coats are needed.
Mountain Ranch Bike Park cleanup, 6-8 PM, 3450 E. Golden Eagle Road.
Culvert and wash cleanups, 6-8 PM, at Porter's Crossing Parkway, Gazelle Run, and SilverLake.
Thursday, September 17
Culvert cleanups, 6-8 PM, at Carnoustie Road and Silver Creek Way.
Pony Express Parkway cleanup, 6-8 PM.
Ranches Parkway fence painting, 6-8 PM, 3688 E. Campus Drive.
Thank you to Lake Mountain Trails Association, local mountain bike teams, the Eagle Mountain Library, Rockwell Charter High School, and Cedar Valley High School for partnering with the City on this year's projects.
Eagle Mountain residents have been serving each other for a long time. The proclamation makes it official.
