Park City Municipal has introduced a new monthly podcast series called PCCast, subtitled Where Context Meets Community. The series, produced by the City's Community Engagement team, is designed to provide residents with a look into the people, processes, and priorities that shape life in the mountain town.
The podcast features various episodes covering local government operations and community issues. Recent topics have included the City's $98 million Fiscal Year 2026 budget, wildfire readiness efforts involving the Fire Chief and Emergency Manager, and the history of Park City's open spaces.
Other episodes have addressed the 50-year history of Park City Transit, the evolution of the Sundance film festival in the city, and the legacy of the 2002 Winter Games in relation to preparations for the 2034 Olympics in Utah. The series also explores local sustainability efforts, such as waste reduction ordinances and e-bike etiquette on trails.
Additional programming has focused on preserving Park City's mining history and managing the health of the city's 6,000 acres of open space, including discussions on wildfire risk and invasive weeds.
