The Utah men's basketball team continues its five-game homestand to open the 2026-27 campaign on Thursday, Nov. 5. The Utes will welcome the Towson Tigers for a 7 p.m. (MT) tip-off inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
The matchup features a broadcast on ESPN+ with Chris Sylvester and former Utah assistant coach Joe Cravens providing the call. Utah enters the game following a 66-63 victory over Long Beach State on Monday, Nov. 2, where the team erased a 17-point deficit to secure the win. Trey Campbell led that contest with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 steals. Jackson Holcombe contributed 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks, while Malek Gomma recorded 7 points and 11 rebounds.
Towson, led by veteran coach Pat Skerry, arrives in Salt Lake City after a 89-70 loss to Santa Clara on Monday, Nov. 2. The Tigers' previous performance featured 15 points each from Zion Stanford and Jaquan Womack. The roster also includes redshirt sophomore Ben Rosenborough, who played against Utah for San Jose State last year.
The season opener featured debuts for several players, including the entire starting line-up of Alec Anigbata, Malek Gomma, Jackson Holcombe, Trey Campbell, and Taison Chatman. Zati Loubaki, Jaxon Johnson, TJ Burch, and Babacar Faye also suited up for the first time as Utes. Faye, a Dakar, Senegal, native, made his debut after being cleared to play following a season-ending injury sustained before the 2025-26 season.
Utah is scheduled to host Weber State next Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. (MT). The team will then face Washington on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 5 p.m. (MT) to conclude the home-and-home series.
