A man driving a Honda CRV was transported with critical injuries after striking a concrete support structure near Highway 89 near Beck Street in Salt Lake County.
According to Sgt. Cameron Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol, the vehicle was traveling northbound on a ramp to Highway 89 when it went on the wrong side of a barrier and into the grass before hitting the support structure.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:06 a.m. on a Friday, according to Sgt. Roden.
The location of the crash is just south of the Davis County border. Because of the incident, troopers assigned to Davis County arrived to assist those assigned to Salt Lake County.
The off-ramp to northbound Highway 89 was closed for approximately two hours following the collision.
