Richard Elliott is set to perform as part of the third season of the Tabramacle Organ Virtuoso Performance Series at the Tabernacle on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. The event will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.
Admission for the performance is free and open to the public, with no tickets required.
The Tabernacle Organ Virtuoso Performance Series began in May 2022. The series aims to showcase renowned organists from across the globe performing on one of the world's most iconic pipe organs.
Dr. Elliott serves as the Principal Organist for The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah. For 34 years, he has accompanied the choir during weekly broadcasts of Music and the Spoken Word, general conferences of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, annual Christmas concerts, and various recordings.
His professional history includes serving as an assistant professor of organ at Brigham Young University and working as an assistant organist at the John Wanamaker Department Store in Philadelphia.
Dr. Elliott has received several honors, including the 2022 Governor’s Mansion Arts Award presented by Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox and First Lady Abby Cox. In 2025, he was honored with the Madeleine Award for Distinguished Service to the Arts and Humanities from the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Elliott holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music and both MM and DMA degrees from the Eastman School of Music.
