The BYU football program unveiled its first official depth chart of the 2026 season on Monday, according to a report published August 31.
The release arrives during game week for the program, providing a detailed look at the roster as the season begins.
On the offensive side, Bear Bachmeier is named the starting quarterback, with Treyson Bourguet serving as the backup. The running back position features LJ Martin and Sione Moa at the top, followed by Preston Rex.
The wide receiver starters include Jojo Phillips, Tei Nacua, Jaron Pula, and Kyler Kasper. True freshman Legend Glasker has been named a starter, while Fesi Sitake told BYU On SI that Reggie Frischknecht and Tiger Bachmeier will also play in every game.
At tight end, Walker Lyons and Roger Saleapaga are named as starters. The offensive line features Paki Finau at left tackle, Sonny Makasini at left guard, Bruce Mitchell at center, Kyle Sfarcioc at right guard, and Andrew Gentry at right tackle.
The defensive unit features Hunter Clegg and Tausili Akana as starting edge rushers. Viliami Po'uha and Bodie Schoonover are listed as co-starters for the defensive end position.
Raider Damuni and Faletau Satuala are named as the starting safeties. The cornerback starters are Evan Johnson and Tre Alexander. At the nickel position, Cannon DeVries is the starter.
Inside linebacker positions include Cade Uluave, Isaiah Glasker, Siale Esera, and Jake Clifton as the top four.
Special teams roles include Matthias Dunn as kicker, Fuller Shurtz as punter, Cannon DeVries as punt returner, and a kick returner rotation between Legend Glasker and Evan Johnson.
The official depth chart highlights several true freshmen, including Legend Glasker at wide receiver and Bott Mulitalo at right tackle backup.
