A transition to a new SmartHub system will launch on September 1, 2026, at 8 AM. During the transition period, some payment options will be temporarily unavailable.
From 5 PM on August 25, 2026, through 8 AM on September 1, 2026, certain payment methods will not be available. These include online credit or debit card payments, auto-pay, and future scheduled payments.
During this time, payments can be made via mail-in or office drop-off using cash or checks only. Payments made during this window will not post to accounts until the new system is in place. To accommodate this transition, late charges will be waived.
Customers currently using the auto-pay system will need to re-register their account and re-enter payment information in SmartHub between September 1 and September 15, 2026.
The SmartHub system includes a mobile app and web portal designed to help users manage accounts. Features include real-time billing and payment access, email or text notifications, and paperless billing options. Users can also monitor usage to help manage bill amounts.
The mobile app is secure, utilizing encryption for all critical information. While mobile devices allow users to store login information for convenience, doing so may allow anyone with access to the device to access the account.
SmartHub allows users to view and pay for multiple linked accounts and provides real-time account updates. Officials noted that they will never call or email to request sensitive information such as credit card or bank account numbers.
