A deputy sustained a broken arm and other minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle while responding to a crash on the side of I-15, according to a report published August 11.
The incident occurred when the deputy and a trooper were on the side of northbound I-15 near Cedar Knoll responding to another crash.
A Utah Highway Patrol spokesperson stated that the trooper was okay following the collision.
The Utah Department of Transportation estimated that the scene would be cleared before 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
The crash occurred in Beaver County while officials were attending to a previous collision on the interstate.
