Senator Mike Lee issued a tribute following a terrible tragedy involving the Long family. Lee expressed wishes for the Longs to rest in peace and offered blessings to those in Utah who are mourning, particularly the friends and family left to remember them.
Representative Burgess Owens stated that a moment of silence was held on the House Floor to honor the Long family.
The family members included Provo Fire Captain Spencer Long, his wife Katrina, and their three sons, Reid, Thayne, and Gage. Owens described the family as being among the very best that Utah has to offer.
The state of Utah is mourning following the sudden loss of the family members.
