July 28th, 2026 The City of West Jordan Receives Building Together Award
West Jordan proudly accepted the Building Together Award from the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) of Utah.
Ryan Starks and Greg Bisping presented the award to the West Jordan City Council on July 14, in gratitude for our partnership in bringing jobs and investment into the City. They presented the City with a traveling trophy that we can show off for a month, “because we’re awesome,” Starks said.
They have helped bring two large companies to West Jordan in recent months: Route 92 Medical that brought $50 million in capital investment and 116 new jobs, and Gem Corps that brought 25 new jobs.
“It’s exciting to see good things happening here in West Jordan City,” Starks said.
The EDC has been working in Utah for 40 years to bring companies from around the country and around the world. They work closely with West Jordan’s Economic Development Department to bring business to the City to support residents in all stages of life. West Jordan City’s Economic Development Department works with landowners, developers, and companies who want to make an investment in the area.
