Lec and Kim Holmes will be among seven individuals or couples honored by the Lehi Historical Society during Lehi Heritage Day 2026. The celebration is scheduled for August 29 from 2:30 to 6 p.m. at the Lehi Civic Center, located at 153 N. 100 East.
The Holmes family has a long history of community involvement in Lehi. Lec Holmes, a former Utah State champion gymnast and wrestler, has served the local youth through Little League wrestling, church callings, and over 20 years at LDS Girls Camp. He also serves as a director for the Lehi Round-Up Rodeo Committee, a role inspired by his grandfather, Carl Blackie Harris.
Kim Roundy Holmes has held various roles in Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society, including 20 years in the Young Women's organization. She has served as the secretary of the Lehi Historical Society since 2016 and is a member of the Historical Marker Unveiling Committee. Additionally, she serves on the Lehi Round-Up Rodeo Committee alongside Lec.
Lec Holmes spent over 35 years working as an ironworker, including running Steel Erectors, Inc. and working on projects such as the 2002 Winter Olympics communications cabins. Kim, who earned a business accounting degree in 2025, previously worked for Zions Bank and currently works at Polaris High School.
