Rev. Mr. Scott Dodge, D.Min., was among those killed during a mass shooting at an In-N-Out restaurant, according to information from the Diocese of Salt Lake City. Dodge, a prominent figure within the diocese, served in several high-level leadership roles including Director of Communications, Director of the Diaconate Office, and Government Liaison.
The Diocese of Salt Lake City confirmed the death of Dodge, who also held the position of Coordinator of the Commission for Life, Justice and Peace. Dodge was a member of Saint Olaf Catholic Church in Bountiful.
According to the Diocese's official personnel records, Dodge's responsibilities included managing the organization's public image and coordinating between the church and various governmental entities. His role as Director of Communications involved fostering clear and timely communication within the diocesan community and with the wider public.
