Bishop Solis issued a message to the People of God in Utah, exhorting for peace and prayer. In the message, the Bishop expressed awareness of the suffering caused by wars in the Middle East and Ukraine.
In solidarity with Pope Leo XIV, Bishop Solis invited the diocesan family to unite in a Prayer Vigil on April 11, 2026, for the end of war. The Bishop requested that special intentions be included for migrants and refugees.
Regarding the situation in the nation, the Bishop addressed the reality of undocumented migrants who face apprehension, detention, and deportation. He stated that the Resurrection compels the faithful to defend the vulnerable and reject dehumanization and indifference.
The Bishop encouraged the diocese to offer Mass intentions, rosaries, Holy Hours, fasting, and acts of charity for countries ravaged by war and for migrants in the community. He described prayer as the Church's most powerful act of hope and a way to become bearers of hope and builders of reconciliation.
