The Utah Department of Transportation announced June 10 that construction in Indian Canyon will focus on mileposts 264 through 267 this month, involving road widening and culvert replacement.

According to an update from the Utah Department of Transportation, crews are working to replace a culvert near milepost 264 to improve drainage and are importing rock fill near milepost 267 to support road widening. The department also noted that workers will begin paving sections of the widened road between mileposts 264 and 265.
Traffic management and delays
To manage safety in areas with sharp curves and narrow lanes, UDOT has positioned traffic control to prevent vehicles from stopping on blind corners. The agency reported that drivers should expect average wait times between 15 and 25 minutes, with efforts underway to keep delays under 30 minutes in each direction.

In St. George, the city's trail system is designed to serve as an alternative transportation opportunity by linking major population centers. The city's guide for users notes that the network includes both paved and natural surface trails intended for pedestrians, bicyclists, and skaters.
The City of St. George also manages a diverse park system through its Park Planning and Maintenance Divisions, with parks remaining open from sunrise until 10 p.m.
Charity marathon runner's journey
British runner Henry Moores recently traveled through Salt Lake City as part of a mission to run 50 marathons in 50 states to raise awareness for a children's cancer charity. As KSLTV reported on June 10, the 23-year-old runner described the physical toll of the journey, noting that he faced significant knee pain and exhaustion during the early stages.
Moores, who stated he did not undergo specific training for the challenge, said his goal is to remain relatable to others while supporting a charity in England that provides aid to families facing childhood cancer.
Salt Lake City stabbing investigation
In a separate incident, Salt Lake City police are searching for a suspect following a stabbing on Tuesday night. As KSLTV reported, the attack occurred around 11:16 p.m. near the Salt Lake City Justice Courts building.
Sergeant Kevin Blue of the Salt Lake City Police Department stated that a bystander discovered the victim and called 911. While the victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police were unable to locate the suspect using drones and canines. The suspect is described as a white male, possibly in his late 40s, wearing a flannel shirt and having short dark hair.
