The South Salt Lake Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public meeting and hearing on Nov. 5, 2026, to address several land use petitions, according to a notice published October 23.
The meeting is set to begin at 7:00 PM and will conclude at 8:00 PM.
The agenda includes a public meeting regarding a petition from Liana Lopez for a Conditional Use Permit to approve a child care center located at 1111 W 3300 S.
Additionally, a public hearing will address a petition from Liana Lopez to recommend that the City Council adopt a text amendment to Section 7.03.010. This amendment would add 'Child Care Center' as a conditional use within the JRNC District.
Other items on the hearing agenda include a petition from Anthony Limantzakis to create a one-lot subdivision. This project involves creating a 0.611-acre lot from three metes-and-bounds parcels located at 3205 S State Street, 132 E 3185 S, and 136 E 3185 S.
Commissioners will also consider a petition to forward a positive recommendation to the South Salt Lake City Council for a development agreement. The agreement concerns property at 3205 S State St and would allow for parking lot improvements without meeting certain requirements of Title 17, the Land Use and Development section of the South Salt Lake City Municipal Code.
The meeting will be held at 220 E Morris Ave, South Salt Lake, UT 84115. In accordance with State Statute, one or more commissioners may be connected to the meeting electronically.
Individuals requiring special accommodations, such as auxiliary communicative aids or services, should notify Eliza Ungricht at (801)483-6013.
The public meeting and hearing are scheduled for Nov. 5, 2026, with a deadline of 8:00 PM on that date.
