The 2026 Nibley City Recreation Flag Football schedule for the 7th-8th Grade League was released in a report published September 29. The schedule outlines upcoming games for several teams, including the Mustangs, Gummy Bears, Cobras, Packers 49ers, and Strugglers.
Several upcoming matchups are scheduled for mid-October. On Wednesday, October 14, the 49ers will play the Strugglers at Anhder Park Field 1 (AS1). On Thursday, October 15, the Strugglers will face the Cobras at Anhder Park Field 1 (AS1). A game was rescheduled for Wednesday, October 21, at 6:30 PM involving the Mustangs and Gummy Bears. Additionally, on Wednesday, October 21, a 7:30 PM game is scheduled between the Mustangs and Gummy Bears.
Games are held at various Nibley and Wellsville locations. Nibley locations include Heritage Park Fields 6 and 7 (HW6, HW7, and HSE) at 2456 S 800 W, Nibley City Hall Fields 1 and 2 at 455 W 3200 S, and Anhder Park Field 1 (AS1) at 294 W 3200 S. Wellsville locations include the Darley Park Wellsville Darley Softball Field at 100 N 100 E and the Old Wellsville Elementary at 200 S 100 E.
The league operates as a recreation-level developmental football experience designed to be non-competitive. Coaches assist with officiating and teaching, and for 5th through 12th grade games, coaches may have assistance from a referee. The league motto is Play Smart, Play Safe, and Have Fun. Participants are recommended to wear a mouthguard at every game and practice.
Regarding weather-related cancellations, the Nibley Parks Superintendent determines if field conditions are unsafe due to rain or snow. If a cancellation occurs, it will be announced by 4 PM on the day of the game via text or phone call from a coach.
