The City of Nibley issued a request for proposals on September 23, 2026, to lease city-owned property for agricultural use. The city is seeking interested parties to utilize approximately 39.5 acres of vacant land while generating fair rental value for the municipality.
The subject property is located at approximately 4100 S 640 W in Nibley, Utah, and consists of parcels 03-052-0005, 03-047-0002, 03-047-0001, 03-052-0013, and 03-045-0022. The land is currently zoned A10-Agricultural and contains no utilities. Water shares are available at a rate of one share per acre for flood irrigation.
The city intends to enter into a one-year lease agreement with a selected proposer, with the possibility of annual renewals. Proposers must describe their intended use of the property, which must comply with all city ordinances and applicable zoning regulations. Any improvements made to the land require prior written approval from the city and will become city property upon completion.
Proposals will be evaluated based on the proposed rental amount, the compatibility of the use with the surrounding area, the overall benefit to the city, and the proposer's ability to perform the intended use. A refundable deposit will be required upon the completion of the lease.
Proposals must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026. Submissions should be sent to Amy Johnson, City Treasurer, at 455 W 3200 S, Nibley, UT 84321. Inquiries regarding the request for proposals may be directed to Johnson via email at amyj@nibleycity.gov or by calling 435-752-0431 ext. 102.
