The City of Orem and the Town of Santa Clara have announced upcoming public meetings scheduled for mid-June to review various development projects, ranging from fireworks tent site plans to retail building designs.
Orem fireworks tent site plans
The Orem Development Review Committee is scheduled to meet at 11 a.m. on June 15, 2026, in the Aspen Conference Room at 56 N. State Street. According to the city's posted agenda, the committee will consider several temporary site plans for fireworks tents, including locations for Pyros Edge Fireworks at 1616 S. State Street and 1665 N. State Street, as well as Fisher Fireworks at 1981 S. Geneva Road.
Additional Orem development agenda items
Other items on the Orem agenda include an administrative site plan for Links at Sleepy Ridge, a final plat for Whitestone Estates Phase 1, and a text amendment regarding Kneaders at 1890 N. State Street. The committee will also review a site plan for an addition to the Fort Knox Building located at 981 N. Industrial Park Road.
Santa Clara Heritage Commission meeting
In Santa Clara, the Heritage Commission will hold a meeting on June 18, 2026, at 4 p.m. in the Town Hall conference room. The commission's agenda includes a design review for a proposed office and retail building located at 2998 Santa Clara Drive, submitted by applicant Barbara Parks.
Meeting minutes and future sessions
The Orem committee will also review minutes from its June 8 meeting and has scheduled its next session for June 22, 2026. The Santa Clara Heritage Commission meeting will begin with the approval of minutes from May 21, 2026.
