Utah Highway Patrol officials released the names of two people killed Tuesday during a three-vehicle collision on southbound Interstate 215 near 2300 South, according to a August 27 report.
The victims were identified as driver Jody W. Thackeray, 68, and passenger Desiree S. Thackeray, 40, both of Ogden.
The collision occurred at approximately 4:37 p.m. According to a Utah Highway Patrol statement, the crash involved a 2021 Subaru CrossTrek, a 2005 Jaguar S type, and a 2024 Ford F-150 pickup.
Officials stated that the Subaru rear-ended the Jaguar, which caused the Jaguar to be pushed into the rear of the Ford. The driver and the rear passenger of the Jaguar sustained fatal injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
