Sego Lily Elementary was featured as one of Utah’s celebrated Cool Schools when cameras from FOX 13 Good Day Utah visited the campus on March 26, 2026.

Innovative Teaching and Traditions
During the visit, Principal Helena Mueller welcomed reporters and noted that the school's 68-year tradition continues to evolve through innovative teaching and community partnerships.
Hands-on Learning Programs
The news crew captured various aspects of campus life, including coding and LEGO building with the Coderunner Team, as well as the Hope Squad program. A sixth-grade teacher, Mr. Taylor, noted that the sense of community is a standout feature of the school.
Community Partnerships and Support
Community partnerships play a significant role in the school's operations. The Lehi City Police Department facilitates the NOVA character-education program, while local businesses and donors support S.T.E.M., wellness, and garden programs. Additionally, PTA parent volunteers provide daily support and assist with Staff Appreciation Week.
Collective Schoolwide Recognition
The school credited the recognition to the collective efforts of students, staff, parents, and volunteers. The broadcast was also supported by the work of the custodial staff.
