West Valley City released a memorandum on November 4 outlining a schedule of upcoming meetings, ceremonies, and community events. The document, issued by City Manager Ifo Pili, details activities spanning from November 2026 through July 2027.
Several ceremonies and community events are scheduled for November. A Native Nations Flag Unveiling Ceremony will be held Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. at Granger High School. On Nov. 6, a remembrance ceremony for Cody Brotherson is scheduled for 10 a.m. in front of the Police Department. The Co-Lab Gratitude Fest is set for Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the UCCC. Additionally, EnduroCross will take place Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Maverik Center.
Holiday closures and special programming are also noted. West Valley City offices will be closed for Veterans Day on Nov. 11, which includes a flag ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Utah Veterans Memorial and a dinner at 5 p.m. at the UCCC. All Elite Wrestling Presents Dynamite & Collision is scheduled for Nov. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Maverik Center. The city will also observe closures for Thanksgiving on Nov. 26 and Christmas Day on Dec. 25.
The Maverik Center will host various events through early 2027, including EnduroCross on Nov. 7, 2026, and several basketball games featuring the Salt Lake City Stars. Scheduled sports include matchups against the San Diego Clippers on Nov. 29 and Dec. 1, the Santa Cruz Warriors on Dec. 8 and Dec. 9, and the Coachella Valley Lakers on Jan. 16. Other upcoming performances include Lindsey Stirling on Dec. 15, 2026, and Niall Horan on May 18, 2027.
City Council Study Meetings are held at 4:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month unless otherwise noted. Regular City Council Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month unless otherwise noted.
The West Valley City Library is scheduled to close for reconstruction starting Dec. 19, 2026, and will remain closed until early 2029.
