General Hospital star Kirsten Storms is providing fans with an update on her current situation as she navigates an ongoing legal battle with her ex-husband, Brandon Barash. The actress recently shared details regarding her life following a move to Tennessee and addressed the custody dispute involving their 12-year-old daughter, Harper Rose.
In a recent Instagram post, Storms reflected on her decision to relocate, stating that despite upsetting circumstances, she believes moving to Tennessee was the right choice because Los Angeles never felt like her true home. She also discussed her long career in the acting industry, noting that much of her professional life was determined by her parents' relocation from Florida when she was a child.
Addressing the legal matters, Storms acknowledged an ongoing situation with Barash that she hopes will be resolved soon. She described the matter as a disagreement between two ex-spouses and requested that followers refrain from speculation to protect the privacy of her daughter. The actress noted that her daughter is at an age where she may search for information about these issues online.
Legal filings from last year include claims by Barash regarding Storms' mental health and substance abuse history. In May 2025, Barash alleged that Storms was experiencing hallucinations and delusions. He also obtained an emergency restraining order against her earlier this year following an incident in November where Storms claimed her apartment had been broken into. Barash characterized her state at the time as one of paranoia.
Storms, who took a leave of absence from General Hospital last July and returned this February, appears to be away from the show again. A post from June suggests she is focusing on her mental health and parenting. Storms and Barash were married from 2013 to 2016.
