The St. George City Council scheduled a public hearing for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026. The meeting was set to take place in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 61 South Main Street, St. George, Utah.
The hearing included consideration of two specific ordinances. The first involved an ordinance to vacate a portion of a municipal utility easement located between Lot 122, Cecita Crest at Divario Phase 3 and Lot 123 Cecita Crest at Divario Partial Amendment A.
The second item involved an ordinance to vacate a portion of a subdivision plat. This specific area was identified as a temporary turnaround easement in the Sage Haven Phase 15 Subdivision plat and was situated on the west end of Somera Drive.
Interested individuals were permitted to present views in writing via email to recorder@sgcityutah.org or by mail to 61 South Main Street, St. George, UT 84770 Attn: City Recorder prior to the hearing. Comments could also be delivered in person during the hearing.
The City of St. George stated it would make efforts to provide reasonable accommodations to disabled members of the public accessing City programs. Individuals with special needs were directed to contact the City Human Resource Office at (435) 627-4671 at least 24 hours in advance.
