October 26th, 2026 Election Day Is Nov. 3: Here’s How West Jordan Voters Can Cast a Ballot

Mail it, drop it, or vote in person, with two vote centers and two drop boxes right here in West Jordan. Here’s everything you need to know before polls close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The 2026 General Election is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Elections in West Jordan are run by the Salt Lake County Clerk’s Office, so the County is your go-to source for ballots, voter registration and results. Here’s a quick guide to your options.

Voting by mail

Every active registered voter in Salt Lake County was mailed a ballot starting Oct. 13. When you fill yours out, don’t forget to sign the return envelope and follow all the instructions.

One important change this year: mailed ballots must arrive at the County Clerk’s Office by 8 p.m. on Election Day. A postmark is no longer enough. If you plan to use the mail, send your ballot early, or use a drop box instead.

Ballot drop boxes in West Jordan

Drop boxes are open 24 hours a day and close at 8 p.m. sharp on Election Day. West Jordan has two:

West Jordan City Hall, 8000 S. Redwood Road (parking lot)

Ron Wood Park, 5900 W. New Bingham Highway (north parking lot)

You can use any drop box in Salt Lake County. Find the full list at slco.vote.

Early in-person voting

Prefer to vote in person before Election Day? West Jordan City Hall (8000 S. Redwood Road) is an early voting location Tuesday, Oct. 27, through Friday, Oct. 30, from 3 to 7 p.m.

The Salt Lake County Government Center (2001 S. State St., Salt Lake City) is also open for early voting weekdays through Oct. 30 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and, for the first time ever, on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Election Day vote centers

On Tuesday, Nov. 3, vote centers are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can vote at any vote center in Salt Lake County. You aren’t tied to a neighborhood polling place. West Jordan has two:

West Jordan City Hall, Community Room, 8000 S. Redwood Road

Bingham Creek Library, Meeting Room, 4834 W. 9000 S.

Already filled out your mail ballot? You can drop it off at any vote center during voting hours without waiting in line. If you’re in line by 8 p.m., you’ll be able to vote.

Bring your ID

Valid ID is required to vote in person. A current Utah driver license, Utah ID card or U.S. passport works. You can also bring two other documents that together show your name and current address, such as a utility bill or paycheck dated within 90 days. See the full list at slco.vote.

Not registered? You can still vote

The deadline to register and receive a ballot by mail has passed, but Utah offers same-day registration. Go to an early voting location or an Election Day vote center with valid ID and proof of residency, register on the spot and cast a provisional ballot. To be eligible, you must be a U.S. citizen, be 18 by Election Day and have lived in Utah at least 30 days.
