Sevier County provides fire protection services through contracts with the three largest municipal fire departments in the county, which include Salina, Richfield, and Monroe. The county also maintains mutual aid agreements with other local departments to offer a wide variety of services to residents and visitors.
In addition to responding to municipal calls such as structural and vehicle fires, firefighters are equipped with advanced training in Hazardous Materials Response and Wildland Fire Management.
Firefighters are certified through the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy and their training exceeds the minimum requirements set by the state of Utah.
Individuals interested in learning more about the fire program, requesting tours, or participating in public presentations can contact their local fire department. The county also provides an online option to apply for burn permits.
