The Bureau of Land Management is implementing stage one fire restrictions on all BLM-managed lands in Southern Utah beginning May 22.
The new restrictions will apply to Washington, Iron, Kane, Garfield, and Beaver Counties.
Under the stage one restrictions, building or maintaining any open fire or campfires using ash-producing fuel or solid fuels is prohibited.
Additionally, smoking is prohibited except when inside a vehicle.
