Huntington State Park has announced that reservations are now open for the 2026 season. The park is also preparing for a new campground facility, which has an expected reopening date of August 29, 2026.
Until the new facility opens, the campground showers and restroom building will be closed. While restrooms will still be available, campsite water and power may be affected during stays.
The park expressed appreciation for visitor patience during these improvements. Additionally, boat decontamination services are available by appointment only through contacting the park.
Reservations for the 2025 season can be made via Reserve America, though they cannot be made through the State Park office phone line. Guests can make reservations up to four months in advance, but not within 48 hours of arrival.
Walk-in fees can be paid using a fee envelope at the entrance station or through Park Pass online.
Huntington State Park serves as a warm-water reservoir popular for fishing, waterskiing, and crawdad catching. The park features cinnamon-colored buttes and includes electrical and water hookups at every campsite, which were added in 2017.
