Governor Spencer J. Cox announced on Tuesday the appointments of Jay T. Jorgensen and Stephen P. Dent to serve on the Utah Supreme Court.
The announcement was made in Salt Lake City on June 2, 2026.
The appointments follow legislation passed earlier this year that expanded the number of justices on the Utah Supreme Court from five to seven.
Jorgensen and Dent are the two new appointees named in the announcement.
