A Las Vegas man has been indicted on murder charges in connection with the 2006 death of his wife, according to the Washington County Attorney's Office.
David Howard Vander Meer faces the charge related to the passing of Bernadette Vander Meer. She was 29 years old when she died following a fall from Angels Landing at Zion National Park on August 22, 2006.
The indictment follows a long-standing investigation into the events that occurred at the national park two decades ago.
The Washington County Attorney's Office filed the murder charge against Vander Meer, a former youth pastor.
