The Orem City Council will hold public hearings on May 12, 2026, to review requests for zoning map amendments. The meetings are scheduled to begin at approximately 6:00 p.m. at the City of Orem Council Chambers, located at 56 North State Street, Orem, Utah.
The first public hearing involves a request to amend Article 22-5-3(A) and the Zoning Map of the City of Orem. This proposal seeks to change the zoning of a property generally located at 92 South 800 East from R8, Single-Family Residential, to C1, Commercial. The request involves approximately 1.0 acre in conjunction with a development agreement that would limit the use of the property to assisted living facilities.
The second public hearing concerns a request to amend Article 22-5-3(A) and the Zoning Map of the City of Orem regarding a property generally located at 1875 South Geneva Road. The proposal aims to change the zone from OS-5, Open Space, to PRD, Planned Residential Development. Additionally, the request includes amending Appendix KK, Site Plan – Farm Haven, to include the approximately 2.9-acre property.
Proposed amendments are available for review at the Office of Community Development, located on the second floor of 56 North State Street, Orem, Utah.
